Brahe rejected Copernican theory and thought that the Sun, Moon and stars revolved around the Earth. His model was mathematically equivalent to Copernicus', but did not violate scripture. He was an excellent observational astronomer. Without using a telescope, he measured the positions of the planets to within a few arc minutes.
